semester 2

school has started once again, and i just went through a week of formalities and niceties, also known as absolute boredom. assigments have started rolling in though, and the master assignment list is fresh out the oven. i'm not particularly overwhelmed by the work we have to do, because i always end up burying my head in the workload eventually anyway. but i shall embark on being motivated (or kiasu) and start doing them now, having already written an entry in my 50page creative journal for web design.

modules this semester seem quite fun, though i'm not too sure about radio and the number of presentation assessments we have. for a moment in my life i did toy with the idea of being a DJ, but i seriously am not ready to relive it yet. :/

after reading ST today, i visited their "recommended" blog by ACJC student Gayle Goh. from my understanding she's quite an achiever, and after reading her blog i just felt that it, or rather she, was given a pedestal due to her astute command of the language and daring to analyse Singapore's politics.

i'm not sure how many of you actually care about politics, but i know personally that a healthy number of my friends and i do. sherman and i often criticise our dear PAP and it's just important to be in the know of the health of your state; and your world. it surprises me when people don't know what's happening today in the worldly state of affairs. i mean, Rice, Kim Jung Il, these names have been flying off the charts. surely just by being around you'd actually hear some issues? one thing that peeved me from her blog though was a sentence about poly students and actually using English. i think i can speak good English any day, thank you very much. and i'm from poly. so what?

sometimes this poly vs jc issue irks me to the bones, and the whole stereotype makes me writhing in pain. i know there can't be smoke without fire but there is always two sides of a coin. a fact that does prick is that poly accepts a wide range of O level grades, therefore which leaves you to question the quality of the education there. i know this can never be rectified and it will always lead me into doubting what i'm studying, but i know i'll just have to give it my best shot.

talking to shermie last night was an enlighting experience. i think i've been quite a snob in my own sense, and i also know i choose to ignore that whatever i do in my personal life does affect everyone and everything in the universe. but at least i've woken up from my infancy. big thanks to my personal genius for staying up till 2am to hear my woes. (: love you.

on a lighter note, i'm glad i spoke to alicia again last night on MSN. it's not easy to keep a friend for half your life, and i guess we both want to keep it that way. i'm also glad i caught world trade center during the holidays, because it made me see the story that truly mattered behind all that terrorism jazz. i'm also glad to have caught john tucker must die, because sometimes we just need to stop thinking so hard and just be bimbo for awhile. (:

i think i've waxed enough lyrical for a friday evening, so do go and enjoy the weekend.

life as such.

just for the record, my GPA did not move up to 3.0, so ohwells. BUT i did pass advertising. though i got B+ for MRM and TVprod, both which i was really hoping for an A. and so i move on to the next semester.

sometimes i really can't tell others why i'm in MCM. or poly. but life goes on. HO-HUM.

did you know, yoga means union in Sanskrit? (: i think that's a pretty cool name for an exercise? heh. found out from shermie's chairing. my name means i'm a sheep. bahh-bahh. HMM.

i also watched the devil wears prada! yes! that took awhile but i managed to catch it. fashion was not really worth drooling for, but they did have nice pieces. if i wasn't lazy i'd share with you my faves, but i AM lazy.

also, i had a BBQ! with family. that was nice. (: good food. YAY. i want more marsha marsha marshmellow!

i'll just end abruptly here because i have a VVIP to go to. SMILE.

tick, tick..

  1. watch the devil wears prada
  2. watch the host (maybe)
  3. watch forbidden city (still deciding, gotta hurry!)
  4. buy mango jeans
  5. get vintage random bits from aunt (yay!)
  6. get tickets for little shops of horror (still deciding, no hurry.)
  7. meet yc for lunch at airport?

if i get to do all these, i'll be happy! shermiee and i now have 4 pending dates. GRIN.

sherman went for his interview at MDC yesterday. it went well! (: they said they'll probably rope him in during November, when someone ORDs or something of that sort. YAY. i hope sherman gets the job so he'll have more time to spend with family and ME!

i'm feeling sleepy and smelly. hmm. i did shower, just so you may not think otherwise. i'll shower and sleep soon. in the middle of the afternoon, i'm such a pig.

went to j8 yesterday with family. saw quite afew juniors; makes me wonder how KCPSS is doing now. i want to put on a uniform and go back to school again. uniforms are GREAT! you won't know till you how much till you're in poly or uni. ahhwells. i just need a lil more clothes. :) but i really miss school life. i won't count poly as "school" because it just doesn't have the same vibes as secondary or JC would probably give you. but poly is okay, there really is no time to regret any decisions.

anyways, note to andrea, if you are reading this. PEASINAPOD: are you sure sure sure on that name? because lotsa sites online with that name are revolving around children and playgroups. uhhh. not working. yuyup. so if a better name strikes you, please tell me! or i'll work on a design already. not that i have nothing in mind of course. :p

to yc: i hope work is fine. tell me when you want me down at changi airport for lunch and i'll just make a trip down yea? (:

to jinfeng: i hope your flu is all gone by now! i haven't met up with you in a long time. too long. please drop me a line and maybe have a meet up?

to kim, mel, jess, swt: please take care from now till end of A levels. you guys are probably studying pretty hard now. don't think you guys will have the time to meet yea? kim i really hope you are studying. :s mug smart and you girls will have your well deserved break after that. (:

to shermieee: yay! the only BOY on the list. preferrential treatment. (: i know work's real tough this week, but we're halfway through it! and next week we can have more time and fun together when you get some off-days! (: so hold out okayy? i'm waiting for you!

we're breaking free.

one second, next

Great aussie Steve Irwin passed on at 44. death by the sting of a usually humble, amiable stingray. what irony life brings you after battling a lifetime of crocs. it's really a tragedy and a loss for many. :(

ohwells.

i really don't much to blog about.

Rent OST - Seasons Of Love

today is teachers' day. but i didn't go back to school today. ohwells. i just didn't really feel like it. :x but happy teachers' day everybody! because it means a holiday, break. something along that line.

mom won't be home today cus she has a company dinner to attend. that means i'm cooking dinner! (: FYI, i CAN cook! i usually, do not overcook or undercook food. and i like cooking. (: but i don't like cleaning up. but when you cook you usually like your kitchen neat, so you will clean it up. so i guess it all kinda works out.

and my dad complimented my cooking this afternoon for lunch so i guess i'm doing fine. one day, in like 10years from now i'll have a house party for all you nice people and cook you dinner. by then i think my cooking will be better. YAY! that's of course if you guys trust me. hmm.

I am absolutely hooked to Seasons of Love from the Rent OST! it's on loop on the iTunes. sherman downloaded it on one of his downloading sprees and it's just so nice! wheee. there are great songs recently too. fabulous singles out there. :)

COMEX 2006 starts today! till this weekend. i wish i had loads of moolah so i could have some fantastic time shopping. New laptop, new camera, new mp3 player... :x ohwells. back to reality.

my ulcer hurts. i rubbed salt into it last night and tears swelled my eyes. it's just so painful. and it's not healing. :( so i rubbed salt, again. this morning. but it didn't bleed like last night so there's no more germs to kill? hmm. i just want it to recover. it's making my lip swell. booo. IT HURTS. period.

just few more hours before TGIF. hold on people!

fixated

(:

i bought my lovely shirtdress yesterday! went town with sherman and got it promptly. i'm stoked. sherman ended work early yesteday because he had to do a housevisit at woodlands. hmm. i like housevisits; so sherm can end early and i can meet him to go out. whee.

i had so much fun with sherman yesterday. shopping with sherman is always fun! though he can be critical about stuff. i'm going to buy him ugly suspenders on his birthday. haha. yc shopping with you is fun too! don't worry! YAY, i love everyone around me. (:

and yc, i think you're correct about me needing to buy matching shoes, bag and accessories for the dress. but that's the fun part, yes? (: it's okayy, chinatown on friday! i think i can find a good stash there. i hope. diyana better not be wrong.

yc seems happy with her job. smsed her yesterday but she sure sounds busy. you can read her blog too. makes me wonder what kind of internship i'll get. hmm. but i'll just finish up my studying semesters first.

it's now 10.06am. i'm bored. but i've only been up for an hour. so i'm really quite a loser. ohwells.

hmm sherman is hoping to shift from Tekong Camp to MDC (Music Drama Co.). i hope he gets it too! wish him luck people!

i keep writing entries that have absolutely no focus. i think it's because i have NO focus. ahhwells. sherman and i believe i have Attention Deficit Disorder. because i have 8 of the 14 tell-tale signs. and i probably have some dyslexia problem too. not that i ever doubted that. i'm so sad right? maybe i'll find worse conditions as i move forward with life. that's optimistic.

TRL - time.
